Announcement for ICHAC-10 in 2012
　　Although ICHAC-10 was originally expected in the summer of 2011, we have postponed it to 2012 due to the big disaster in Tohoku area of Japan caused by the extremely strong earthquake and tsunami on March 11 (2011) and the following accident in the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Although we are still on the way of recovery in the Tohoku area, the situation in the other part of Japan is now almost stable and safe. On this occasion, I would like to express our sincere thanks to all of you for your sympathy to the victims of this unprecedented disaster and also for your patience and cooperation concerning the postponing of ICHAC-10.
　　Expecting more stable situation in the early summer of 2012, we have decided to hold ICHAC-10 during the period of May 20(Sun) to 25(Fri), 2012. The schedule of the events for ICHAC-10 will be almost the same as those announced before, however, please note that the new schedule will start on not Monday but Sunday. In the afternoon of May 20, the registration and welcome reception will be scheduled at the conference venue. We would like to apologize in advance to those who have some inconvenience with the new schedule of ICHAC-10.
　　Continuing the successful ICHAC series, ICHAC-10 will cover many areas around the central topic of the Heteroatom Chemistry. Following the long dated tradition of these conferences, ICHAC-10 will be a major scientific event, bringing together organic and inorganic chemists all over the world sharing their interests on the different areas of Heteroatom Chemistry. As usual, this conference will serve as a professional forum to disseminate scientific knowledge on areas related to all fields of Heteroatom Chemistry. Synthesis, structure and reactivity, including catalysis, theoretical methods, and material aspects will constitute the major themes of ICHAC-10.
　　The conference program will consist of plenary and invited lectures, short oral communications, and poster presentations, together with the memorial session lectures for 10th anniversary of ICHAC.
　　We hope that the participants will find an appropriate environment at ICHAC-10 for personal contact and scientific exchange, and provide useful interactions between chemists of different areas. Hosted by the Institute for Chemical Research, Kyoto University, we would like to welcome participants from both academia and industry to share six outstanding days in our historic and beautiful city.
